In partnership with the Department of National Defence, the club became stewards of the Kilini Natural Area in 1989, largely through the efforts of Dale Loosemore and Stan Kozyra. The 320 acres of very sensitive natural habitat is located west of Lake Eden.
Kilini contains numerous forms of plant life that are present only in the Kilini Natural Area and nearby Wagner Bog Natural Area. The area is maintained in conjunction with Alberta Parks and Protected Areas.
