In 2003, the club acquired 531 acres of prime wildlife habitat, known as the White Wood Conservation Properties, located north of Wabamun. This acquisition was realized through the generous financial assistance of the Alberta Fish and Game Association—Wildlife Trust Fund, the Government of Alberta, TransAlta Utilities, and numerous Fish and Game clubs and other organizations. The club has received a number of prestigious awards for undertaking this conservation program.
